What types of companies should apply?

The forum will emphasize strengths of the Midwest innovation ecosystem that include thriving sectors in food and agriculture, healthcare and life sciences, and financial services among others. Technology-based, fast-growth companies that currently operate in the Midwest or those that seek to improve the overall well-being of communities in the “fly over” region are encouraged to apply.

The selection committee will give particular consideration to technologies and business models that utilize geospatial data, location mapping, and analytic algorithms building upon the already vibrant geospatial research community and commercial application ecosystem centered in Saint Louis. The selection committee also has a special interest in companies with founding teams including women and under-represented minorities; and in those whose success will have substantial and measurable positive impacts beyond financial returns.
